URLTA hearing | Kentuckians For The Commonwealth

URLTA hearing

The Uniform Residential Landlord Tenant Act (URLTA – House Bill 380) is a set of protections and best practices for renters and landlords. In Kentucky, local governments can opt in to URLTA but only a few have. That means a lot of Kentuckians do not benefit from these protections. HB 380, sponsored by Rep. Jim Glenn, would make URLTA apply statewide. The bill is in the House Judiciary Committee, and is scheduled for a hearing on Wednesday, March 16 at noon in Room 171 in the Capitol Annex.

ACTION: Call the Legislative Message Line at 800-372-7181 and leave a message for “members of the House Judiciary Committee.”

MESSAGE: “Renters and landlords in every Kentucky community deserve the same uniform standards for safe, healthy homes. Please support HB 380."
