A Day of Solidarity with Appalachian Mountain Heroes | Kentuckians For The Commonwealth

A Day of Solidarity with Appalachian Mountain Heroes

During our lunchtime solidarity event, we will urge President Obama to stand on the right side of history, with the families and people of Appalachia, instead of with the coal industry’s special interests. We will hear from brave leaders from Appalachia, who will share inspiring stories of courage and resilience at the White House. We will also deliver a photo petition from tens of thousands of Americans from coast to coast who are demanding protections for Appalachian communities and a better future for us all.

If you can't join us at the White House at lunchtime on Thursday, Sept. 13, we will be recapping the day with an event that evening (location to TBA) to build our movement to save mountains and mountain people, and hear stories of inspiration and courage from the brave people of Appalachia and their resistance to mountaintop removal.

Please come in support and solidarity in protecting our planet, the climate, and the people of Appalachia!!
