If you’ve ever wondered how KFTC makes a difference, I can tell you first hand.

My name is Kimberly Shepherd. I live in Harlan County, and I have a 6-year-old daughter, Brooklyn.

I joined KFTC because I want a brighter future for Kentucky. I believe we all want to sustain our families, to make sure our kids and parents and friends are happy and healthy. I want to help create opportunities right here at home – for Brooklyn and everyone else.

With KFTC I’ve registered voters, called people to remind them to vote, and written letters to my legislators. I’ve marched alongside hundreds of thousands of others at the People’s Climate March in New York City and spoken at I Love Mountains Day. Already this year, KFTC brought hundreds of citizen lobbyists to Frankfort, including me. We got our issues in front of legislators and moved them toward better policy in Kentucky.
