Art for Change: Reading & Open Mic

Join us Thursday July 12 for the culminating public event of our "Art as a Tool for Change” Workshop! Here's the link to the workshop series to learn more: https://www.facebook.com/events/396888790792323/

If you’re feeling angst about social issues, and you want to be involved, so do we. Join us for some storytelling and truth-sharing.

Several writers and activists have been thinking and creating together about art, health, and social change. On July 12th, they’ll share some of their poetry and other work in the fabulous Carnegie ballroom, over some fabulous after-work cake and snacks.

Come to listen, learn, be inspired, and do some writing (and changing) of your own!

We’ll also have a brief open mic… If you have short creative piece that responds in some way to social issues, come early to sign up for a slot! Poetry, a song, a visual piece of art, or any other type of short creative writing or art to share is great.

Event is all ages, but parents should be aware that some topics may be sensitive for young listeners.
