Eastern Kentucky lobby day in Frankfort!

Eastern Kentucky KFTC members will have a big presence in Frankfort on March 6, with the option of spending the night before or after to make the journey easier. We’ll meet with our legislators, and show them that even a three-hour drive won’t stop us from having a say in our democracy.

Over the past several years, Louisville Gas & Electric (LG&E) and Kentucky Utilities (KU) have pushed legislation that would eliminate net metering – the retail electric energy rate that rooftop solar owners receive as compensation for electricity they feed back to the grid.

This County Power Profile provides an visual overview of local electric utilities serving Wolfe County including energy rates, base fee, and average monthly bills. It also visualizes Wolfe County's Electricity Energy Burden, the percentage of median household income spent on electricity. This profile was used during a Power House Workshop offered by KFTC in 2018.
