KFTC's vision is a commonwealth where the basic needs of all Kentuckians are met, where public funds are equally distributed to advance the common good, where private corporations are accountable to citizens, and where sustainable local economies are nurtured. 

To advance that vision, we are currently involved in campaigns to enact fair and adequate tax reform, pass positive housing legislation, ensure access to affordable energy, support affordable education, and promote sustainable economic development.

Reforming Kentucky’s tax system is a long-term project. For more than a decade, KFTC has worked to educate the public and our lawmakers about the unfairness of our tax system and the need for greater investment in education and public services. Together with our allies, we have proposed reasonable ways to make our tax system fair and raise needed funds. We have challenged negative views about taxes and government and provided a hopeful and responsible vision for our state. We have earned the support of courageous political leaders and won some notable victories. With your help, we are building support for fair and adequate tax reforms to move Kentucky forward.
