The I Love Mountains Old Time Music Showcase in Lexington was a successful fundraiser for KFTC.

Grassroots Fundraising and Membership Recruitment and Renewal is very simply the tool by which we build our power across Kentucky and the country to make progressive change. It looks very different in every community, from a house party in Letcher County to a street festival in Louisville, to a BBQ in Floyd County to a door to door canvass in Clay County. As we grow and bring more people into this work, we are coming closer to a constitutional amendment to restore voting rights for former felons, a stop to mountaintop removal, economic justice and a better quality of life for all Kentuckians.

I got involved with KFTC because I became convinced that the best way to bring about positive change in Kentucky was for people in the big cities, small towns and rural areas to work together. KFTC belongs to all the people of Kentucky, from the mountains to the big cities, from the small towns to the farms. This “belonging” is where our power to create change comes from.

I work with KFTC because KFTC works for the people of Kentucky. Through this organization, I've found a way to make a difference.
