Sign up for our restoration of voting rights rally

KFTC's restoration of voting rights focus lobby day and rally will be held on Thursday, February 28th, and we are hoping to bring out a large number of people from all over the state to show support for this important issue.

In the morning and early afternoon we will break up into lobbying groups and to meet with legislators about the bill, HB 70.  If you wish to lobby, join us in room 111 of the Capitol Annex building between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. for an orientation on the bill and a brief lobbying training.  Please try to arrive as early as possible.  First-time citizen-lobbyists are encouraged to come.

At 1:30 p.m. we will be bringing busloads of people from around the state to attend a large rally in the Capitol Rotunda.  Speaking at the rally will be former felons who have been affected by disenfranchisement, members of the faith community, and state legislators.  This is the first time we've held a rally in Frankfort on this issue, and we hope to make it a big one.

It should be an exciting day of action, so save the date, take some time off from work or school, and sign up now!

In the morning we will be taking lobbying teams to try to meet with as many legislators as we can. In the afternoon we will be holding a rally in the Capitol Rotunda.



KFTC members will be carpooling from some areas.
