The Scott County Chapter is our second-newest chapter, starting with serious community organizing in February of 2009 and officially becoming a chapter in May of 2010.  We now have over 60 members, with a strong community events, lobbying, and other actions throughout the year.

Monthly meetings are on the first Thursday of every month at 7pm at the Georgetown Public Library.

"My wife and I have been members of KFTC for 19 years.  We joined two days after we moved to the state after seeing Save The Homeplace bumper sticker. KFTC is powerful because we win issues by building leaders... It's an effective way to do it." - Homer White

"Well organized people can overcome money power.  It's not easy, but I've seen it happen and we can do it" - Rev Joseph Jackson

"I've learned a lot and met a lot of wonderful people through KFTC...  In the last few months, I lobbied my senator and spoke at a rally for voting rights in the Capitol rotunda.  I've been a shy person most of my life, but I'm learning to speak out more and find my voice" - Gail Ray

"The Government should be there to keep mountains from being destroyed and to make sure former felons get their rights back.  But they're not doing it, so we have to."  - Tim Klarer
