Final Days of the Legislative Session - Monday, April 14th and Tuesday, April 15th.  Call the legislative message hotline at 1-800-372-7181 and leave a final message for "Senate Leadership" or the "Senate Central KY Caucus" and ask them to support House Bill 70 to restore voting rights to former felons. 


Third District LFUCG Council Meet and Greet - Tuesday, April 15th at 5pm at the UK Student Center, Worsham Theater.  Meet candidates running for council in the most hotly contested race of the Lexington primary.  Sponsored by UK Student Government. 


UK KFTC Meeting - Tuesday, April 15th at 8pm at UK Student Center room 106.  This is the last UK KFTC Meeting and will be a celebration with members meeting briefly, then going out to eat. 

 

 

Voter Registration at Lexington Transit Center - Wednesday, April 16th from 6am to 9am and 3pm to 6pm.  Join KFTC for a day of voter empowerment!


Central KY KFTC Chapter Meeting - Thursday, April 17th at 7pm at the Episcopal Diocese Mission House at the corner of 4th St. and Martin Luther King Blvd.  We’ll come together to plan upcoming events, recap recent activities, and share information as a Chapter.  Beth Rosdatter facilitating.  New members are always welcome!


Good Foods Co-op Earth Day Celebration - Saturday, April 19 from 11 am - 4 pm.  KFTC Community Table.

 

Primary Voter Registration Deadline - Monday, April 21st

 

UK Students Early Voting Gathering - Monday, April 21st at noon, gathering at the UK Free Speech Area / Student Center Patio.  Students registered in Lexington, but who will not be in town on Election Day (after finals) will gather and walk downtown to cast their vote at the County Clerk's office.  This marks the first day of Fayette County early voting for people who will be out of town on Election Day. 

 
FreeKY, WRFL's 20th Anniversary Celebration - Saturday, April 26th from 11am to 11pm on the roof of the transit center in downtown Lexington.  This will be an all-day event celebrating WRFL's 20th Anniversary with national music acts and tons of fun including a KFTC community table.


Transy Community Sustainability Teach-In - Wednesday April 30th.  More information to come. 


Peace and Global Citizenship Fair – BCTC – Saturday, May 10th.  www.peace2day.org


KFTC Voter Mobilization Phone Banks - Sunday, May 11th-Tuesday, May 20th.  More information to come.   


Absentee Ballot Deadline – Tuesday, May 13th - Last day to apply for a primary mail-in absentee ballot through your local County Clerk (not later than close of business 7 days before election) Applications must be received on this day.

 

Primary Election – Tuesday, May 20th.  Polls open from 6am to 6pm.  Join KFTC in giving rides to the polls and other activities throughout the day!
