One of the most important things that KFTC does is that it maintains a space so that ordinary people can get involved and make change without a dollar in their pocket.

KFTC gives people from all over the state, from Paducah to Pikeville, from the mountains to the big cities, the opportunity to work together on issues that are important to them and to society. 

When people from the small towns, big cities and mountains work together they change the world. 

We all know you can't fight city hall alone, but if you work together with like minded people you can become city hall.
 

I can’t sit back anymore and let things go on the way that they are. If I want a better life for my son, I need to keep working and fighting for him and his kids.

Learning how to organize has changed my life.  First, I think, it gives you pride because you’re standing up for something that you believe in and have people backing you. It’s important to organize because nothing will get done if we don’t organize and people will continue to settle and think that this is the only thing they are supposed to get.
