KFTC Economic Justice Lobby Day | Kentuckians For The Commonwealth

KFTC Economic Justice Lobby Day

NOTE! THIS EVENT HAS BEEN RESCHEDULED TO WEDNESDAY, MARCH 4!

We can shape the economy that we want for Kentucky! This year, we have momentum around two key pieces of legislation that will impact the economic stability of Kentuckians, and we have to stop some harmful bills from moving forward. We'll be lobbying, and we'll be doing what might well be the first-ever human demonstration of how we can bridge KY's income gap at the state capitol!

To participate, three things:

1) Please register here, so we can keep you posted with weather updates, etc.

2) If possible, wear all black. If that's not possible, wear all one solid color if you can. (This is for our demonstration of Bridging Kentucky's Wealth Gap, to be a participant, or be in solidarity with the participants.)

3) Bring something small that symbolizes what economic security means to you, your family, or your community. (So, a set of keys to symbolize a working car or a safe place to live. Or, a textbook to speak to the need for up-to-date school books. Or a piece of fruit to symbolize food security.) This will just serve as props for us to have conversations with legislators and the media.

Meet in the Capitol Annex Room 171 starting at 8:30. We'll have more details about the day's agenda there.
