Get on the Bus Tour – Shelby County

Registration is now open for the Tuesday, April 21, 2015, "Get on the Bus: the Path Toward Equal Housing Opportunity" event from 12:30 to 4:00 p.m., at the Shelby County Public Library, 309 8th Street, Shelbyville, Kentucky. Participants will take a guided bus tour of Shelby County to examine the historical impact of segregated housing in the community. The event is free and open to the general public, but preregistration is required due to limited seating.

The Get on the Bus Tour is sponsored by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, Kentucky Housing Corporation, the U.S. Department of Agriculture - Rural Development, Kentucky Commission on Human Rights, Shelby County Historical Society, NAACP - Shelby County, Central Latino, and the Lexington Fair Housing Council.
