The Alliance For Appalachia will be sending 6-8 people from organizations working on the the central Appalachian coalfields to lobby in Washington DC in support of H. R. 2169, the Clean Water Protection Act.

KFTC members on Wilson Creek and the Floyd County Chapter of KFTC have filed a Lands Unsuitable for Mining Petition (LUMP) for the Wilson Creek watershed. This will be the only public hearing on the LUMP.
