Beyond DOMA

Bowling Green residents have planned a community-wide discussion on LGBT rights following the Supreme Court’s DOMA and Prop 8 rulings Tuesday, Sept. 10, 5:00-7:00 p.m. (CT) on Western Kentucky University’s campus, Snell Hall 2113 (Lecture Hall). 

The informational panel is titled “Beyond DOMA: What the Recent Supreme Court Decision Means for Marriage Equality in Kentucky and Beyond” and features Prof. Sam Marcosson, Univ. of Louisville Brandeis School of Law; Dr. Patricia Minter, WKU Dept. of History, Bowling Green Fairness; Dr. Kristi Branham, WKU Gender & Women’s Studies, Bowling Green Fairness; Alan Smith, Bowling Green Fairness, Kentuckians For The Commonwealth; Andrew Salman, President WKU Student Identity Outreach, Bowling Green Fairness; and moderator Michael Aldridge, Executive Director ACLU-KY.
