Activism and the Art of the Unspeakable Writing Workshop | Kentuckians For The Commonwealth

Activism and the Art of the Unspeakable Writing Workshop

With Tasha Golden.

In this workshop, you will brainstorm difficult and/or stigmatized issues within the workshop group, your family, community, workplace, etc.; discuss how stigma, isolation, shame, and/or awkwardness can affect activism and change efforts; read, listen to, and discuss work by published writers/artists that challenges stigma and/or silence; write, create, discuss; and get some ideas and/or feedback for arts-activism intersections in your current work. We will take a short break for lunch; bring a brown bag if you’d like. Cost: $35. Scholarships available through The Carnegie Center. Workshop fee can be used to opt-into membership with Kentuckians For The Commonwealth. In partnership with The Carnegie Center for Literacy and Learning. Register here.
