Come learn about plans to build a new coal-fired power plant in Central Kentucky, and ways you can get involved in the campaign to stop it.
KFTC, the Cumberland Chapter of the Sierra Club, and Kentucky Environmental Foundation are working together to promote an alternative plan based on energy efficiency and clean, renewable energy sources. This meeting will focus on Blue Grass Energy, one of 16 rural electric cooperatives that would purchase power from the new plant.
The meeting will begin at 6 pm with a presentation about the issue and a description of the proposed alternatives. If you are familiar with this issue, feel free to skip the opening presentation and arrive at 7 pm in time for a strategy discussion.
