Non stop Voter Registration Drive

Kentuckians for the Commonwealth and Jobs with Justice are Planning Marathon Voter Registration Drive

Kentuckians for the Commonwealth and Jobs with Justice volunteers will spend a total of 74 hours registering new and unlikely voters this week, culminating in a 65-hour non-stop marathon beginning Friday morning at 7:00am and continuing until midnight on Sunday.

Dubbed “Operation Voter Madness!” the event is part of JWJ/KFTC’s statewide efforts to reach 15,000 new voters before the official registration deadline on Monday, Oct. 6th. Similar Voter Madness! drives are going on in Bowling Green, Lexington, and other parts of the state.

Operation Voter Madness! will live up to its name. To attract as much attention as possible, KFTC/JWJ voter registration teams will carry huge, colorful banners and call out to passers-by with bullhorns.

Kentuckians for the Commonwealth has been working for almost 30 years to advance a platform of environmental, economic, and civil rights reform. Its voter registration work is completely non-partisan and based on an “Empowerment Model” that stresses long-term relationships with unlikely voters and continuing civic engagement beyond the election itself.
