Governor Beshear has called legislators into a Special Session on May 24th to
come up with a budget
.
Given the lack of revenue reforms for the last decade or so, it's likely to be yet another budget that is scraped together to keep us legal, but that doesn't truly meet our commitments to the people of Kentucky. Our schools, universities, community health centers, courts, and safeguards for clean water and safe mines will still be underfunded.
Come join KFTC and our allies in the Kentucky Forward Coalition in sending a message to the legislators: We want a just budget now, and we want your commitment to pass revenue reforms that are fair, adequate, and sustainable. Let's move Kentucky forward!
