With more people facing brown bills and shutoff, storms tearing down power lines that could be buried, and the use of polluting sources of energy like coal that destroys Kentucky communities, WHAT’S LG&E’s ANSWER? LG&E asks for another rate increase right before multinational corporate parent company E.ON attempts sale to PPL, another multinational corporation. WHAT’S THE RESULT? Profits continue to go to stockholders instead of being returned to Louisville for investment in infrastructure, clean energy, local jobs, and reasonable rates. And working and poor families lose out once again. We need you to bring your energy, wisdom and insight to this cause. We need your group to endorse this cause. Please send a representative to this important meeting. Please forward to list, and invite your friends via the facebook event. We look forward to seeing you on Monday July 19, 2010, 7pm at the Braden Center, 3208 West Broadway.
