Become a Sustaining Giver and help KFTC meet the match!

When Kentuckians For The Commonwealth helped pass a minimum wage increase in Louisville and Lexington, Clare White decided to become a Sustaining Giver. Clare was on a tight budget, and committing to give to KFTC monthly was a little scary. But she knew the minimum wage increase would affect her and thousands of other workers in Kentucky. She saw her Sustaining Gift as an investment with a return.

Clare was a baby when her dad, Homer White, first became a KFTC member 25 years ago. Now Homer and Clare are two generations of KFTC Sustaining Givers.

“When KFTC helped pass a minimum wage increase in Lexington, it became real to me that I could impact the systems that contribute to my own financial situation,” said Clare. “By supporting KFTC as a Sustaining Giver, I invest in KFTC’s work and empower myself to make a difference.”

For Homer, becoming a Sustaining Giver just made sense. “I'm a Sustaining Giver because someone asked me and I thought, what a great way to support KFTC! I won't have to remember to send in that check every so often, and KFTC will know that it can count on my little bit every month as it plans the work for the year. It makes me feel more invested in the organization and its future.”

Now is a great time to Become a Sustaining Giver or increase your Sustaining Gift to KFTC.

One KFTC member feels so strongly that Sustaining Givers are important to KFTC's future that she's offering a special birthday gift.

In honor of KFTC's 35th birthday, this generous member will match all new or increased Sustaining Giver pledges in 2016, up to $35,000.

Your Sustaining Gift will go twice as far and help us meet our match! And we'll send you a perk to say thanks!
