It's Election Day! - Polls Now Open

by Dave Newton last modified November-08-2011 11:10 AM

VoteTodayFB

It's 6am on Tuesday, November 8th and it's Election Day.  Polls are now open!

We've completed most of our phone banks, gotten out most of our voter guides, had great events, and drummed up 25,000 page views on www.KentuckyElection.org, but there's still a little more to do.

Get out and Vote!

Also, if you use Facebook or other social networking site, please consider using the image to the right (or something else appropriate) as your Facebook profile picture for the day.

Don't let predictions of poor voter turnout get you down.  We know that KFTC members like you vote - and we still have a little time to make sure our friends and neighbors are voting today too - by talking to people we run into today, calling a few, or using our online social networks.

There are also plenty of Kentuckians who don't presently have the right to vote and are fighting hard to get it.  We owe it to them to vote in their stead and take our responsibility to this Democracy seriously.

There will be a few reports on this blog throughout the day, including election results this evening, so check back periodically.
