Appalachians Demand an End to MTR in Washington D.C. Today

Appalachians marched on the streets of Washington D.C. today, chanting and rallying to demand an end to mountaintop removal coal mining and the creation of a sustainable future for the region. Marchers chanted "Yes, you can!" to President Obama. Some participants chose to demonstrate outside the White House in peaceful protest and were arrested, including several Kentuckians.
