Thanks for your presence at Fancy Farm. Those of us working around the Gailbraith campaign felt very strongly about restoring voting rights to convivted felons. As a minister I'm so tired of hearing talk of justice being served and a debt being paid to society when truly we mean the debt can never be paid off. Felons are released from jail with slim chances of getting hired and no chance in voting again. I cant see the grace present in that mindset of justice. With one breath we say rejoin and become a productive member of society, and on the other hand there are not equal opportunities the rest of us share. In America everyone should have a voice. If the debt is truly paid and time is served, then lets start with a clean balance sheet, a new set of opportunities, and hopefully a better more just day on the horizon for Ky.
