Call Today! Strengthen clean energy legislation in Frankfort
This week is a critical time for clean energy in Kentucky. Legislators are poised to vote on House Bill 3, legislation that asks utility companies to boost their energy efficiency programs and increase their use of renewable energy sources. Predictably, though, powerful interests including some of Kentucky’s rural electric cooperatives are opposed to the measure and are working hard to weaken it, sacrificing a future of clean energy for more dirty power and leaving low-income people vulnerable to continued rapidly rising rates. Help us make it clear that Kentuckians want clean, affordable and sustainable energy. HB 3 could be a step forward for Kentucky, but it needs to be strengthened in several important ways.
