Read an op-ed in today's Lexington Herald-Leader about the hearing: "Coal-burning plant would add pollution"

Are you ready for tomorrow's public hearing about the proposed Smith power plant?  More than a hundred KFTC members from across the state will be coming out to ask the KY Division of Air Quality protect the health of Kentuckians by denying the plant a permit to burn coal.  Read below for some ways that you can participate in the hearing whether or not you are able to attend.

If you are on Twitter and you plan on attending the hearing or wish to comment on it, we will be using the #stopsmith hash tag to collect tweets about the event.  So feel free to report on the hearing or hop in on the conversation there.

For those of you who won't be able to attend the hearing, we will be live blogging, posting photos, and streaming live video from our press conference and hearing.  We will be getting started around 5:30 p.m., so be sure to check the blog around then to follow along.

Finally, if you haven't already, you learn more about this issue and submit comments electronically by visiting kftc.org/airpermit.
