Long voting lines reported in Lexington

by Dave Newton last modified November-04-2008 10:55 AM

Reports that we're getting from Lexington KFTC members indicate various polls have lines between 30 minutes and 2.5 hours long!

In one voting location, there's a placeholder system so that voters can leave the line and wait in a local church and boyscouts are roving up and down the line selling popcorn.

Don't let this keep you away from the polls, because voting is worth the wait!

Remember, as long as you're in line by 6pm, you'll be allowed to vote.

Let's get out there and try to break some Kentucky Voter-turnout records!

Great photos! We had a line, too, but it was like a snake of a party. Definitely a good vibe.

awesome!

I waited for 15 minutes, but it was the only time I've ever had to wait to vote! I've been hearing everything from 45 minutes to 3 HOURS from dozens of other people, which is actually pretty exciting. Hooray for democracy!

I waited an hour, but that line looks intense.

I heard three hours in some places.
