Our national allies on Restoration of Voting Rights, the Sentencing Project, put together a great publication called Disenfranchisement News several times each month.  We're communicating with them more so they can stay in better touch with KFTC's efforts - but it's also valuable to learn what is going on with respect to restoration of voting rights for former felons in other states across the nation.

This week's, Disenfranchisement News includes report-backs from Kentucky Virginia, Tennessee, Florida, Alabama and Pennsylvania.

In many states that I've canvassed in, most felons believe that they cannot ever vote again and are unaware of the ability or the process to reclaim their voting rights. I'm glad there are people working throughout the US to help restore voting rights to the disenfranchised.
