KFTC's group on Facebook, an online networking tool popular especially on campuses and in youth communities, has reached 4,000 members today.

This tool has been used in several parts of the state to build our power and activate volunteers to call legislators, attend events, and to become more connected to KFTC's work and has allowed us to reach people we may otherwise have missed.

In the primary election, 4,500 people pledged to vote on KFTC's Facebook site and members hope to surpass that in the general election.

If you have a Facebook account already, look up Kentuckians For The Commonwealth, join our group, invite your friends to join as well.

If you’d like to sign up to be on Facebook, visit www.Facebook.com, then look us up.

If you're already a member on Facebook, then take a moment to invite all of your friends too.  If everyone lends a hand, we'll be at 5,000 members in no time.

I'm so glad that KFTC is using new ways to reach young people like this. It really helps me feel connected to what you're doing and thinking.

It's how I found out about this group, actually.

Yep, I invited all my friends too. As soon as I explain what KFTC is trying to do my friends enthusiastically join. It does take a bit of explaining though. But, environmentalism is getting really trendy!

Just 10 days since we made this post and the KFTC Facebook group has grown to 4,700 members - and increase of 70 members a day for 10 days!

Thanks to everyone who joined and invited their friends.
